INRIA Paris-Rocquencourt
On October 22-23, Bell Labs'Chief Scientist Office in co-operation with Bell Labs France and INRIA (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique) will organize a Joint Workshop on the "Fundamentals of Communications and Networking". This two-day Workshop will be hosted by INRIA at their Rocquencourt facility at the outskirts of Paris. This workshop will build on the success of the First Joint Workshop held in Murray Hill, USA on June 1-3, 2009. The focus of this second workshop remains on the fundamentals of communications and presentations will address themes not covered in the first Joint Workshop. These themes include applications and their enablement, network science, social networking, security and green telecom. As in the first workshop, the primary objective is to expose important areas of communications where fundamental techniques and advances are required, and to explore and identify common ground for future research collaborations between Bell Labs and INRIA. There will be approximately 30 research presentations with about equal representation from Bell Labs and INRIA. There is no cost to register; however, as with all meetings of this type, executive approval with respect to travel is required. The workshop will be open to visitors. This website will also have the latest information on transportation options and arrangements as they are finalized.
